In 1984, Kapiti was a small cheese shop. Today, it’s a largish maker of specialty dairy products for New Zealand and the world. Products loved by chefs. Our challenge was to widen this circle of influence to include regular foodies and grow sales. The solution was to create a consistent range and encourage customers to try it all. This meant getting back to basics. We got to the qualities at the heart of Kapiti – authentic, crafted from and of the pristine Kapiti Coast. Dow created not just cohesive designs, but the language, including the line ‘A New Zealand Original’. Using Kikorangi as a springboard, the range of quality cheese and ice cream is now sold in supermarkets and specialty stores all over.
